– New Japan Pro Wrestling did an angle at the NJPW Best of the Super Juniors night one event with Hiroshi Tanahashi. He wrestled an eight-man tag team match at the event against The Bullet Club. After the match, Kenny Omega attacked Tanahashi with a chair, and Tanahashi was carried out on a stretcher. The reason for the angle is due to Tanahashi dealing with some nagging injuries.
He has been pulled from upcoming NJPW events to heal up from those injuries, but he is still expected to challenge Omega for his IWGP Intercontinental title at the Dominion show on June 19th.
