Robbie E. spoke with Wz in a new interview talking about TNA’s move to Wednesday and more. Check out the highlights:

On TNA’s move to Wednesday: “I am excited about the new night, most Friday nights I am traveling for Wrestling so now (on Wednesday’s) I will be able to watch the show when it airs. A lot of Wrestling fans and teenagers are out on Friday nights, so it’s an opportunity for us to take over the night, so in the long run it’s better for us to be on Wednesday nights…As for Destination America, some people complain that they have never heard of the channel but no one ever heard of USA or Spike TV at first either, with our show on a the network, we are all going to grow and in time people will hear of it more”.

On choosing wrestling over a potential career in reality TV: “Right now I am in the best years of my wrestling career, reality TV and TV will always be there. Filming Amazing Race took four months and I don’t want to lose a month of time in professional wrestling. I want to dedicate all my time to TNA Impact Wrestling and showing the fans that I am a real wrestler and I want to work towards becoming the TNA World Heavyweight Champion.”

On a more serious character and fans taking him seriously: “Yes I am a funny guy and anyone who knows me or watched Amazing Race knows that. People forget that I am a former X-Division champion, TV champion and two-time Tag Team champion. I didn’t get those credentials by just being a comedy guy, I got those titles because I am a great wrestler, I have been doing this for over fifteen years and even though I haven’t had a lot of opportunities to showcase my wrestling skills, when I do people will say ‘Wow, this guy is a great wrestler and a funny guy, so he’s the full package”.

On people predicting TNA’s demise: “We have been around thirteen to fourteen years and everyone has been saying we are going down and we never have and it’s not going to happen anytime soon. There’s no reason why it would, we have the best talent & boss in the world. Our company has never even been close to not being around.”
