What To Expect For WWE SummerSlam

After an eventful WWE Battleground pay-per-view, the WWE heads to the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California for SummerSlam on Sunday, August 17th, 2014.

And so without further delay, here’s what to expect:

The Return of “The Beast.”

After he did the unthinkable at WrestleMania XXX when he ended The Undertaker’s WrestleMania win streak, expect Brock Lesnar to make his triumphant return to WWE programming to begin his expected feud against WWE Champion John Cena heading into SummerSlam, perhaps as soon as this Monday on RAW.

The Rollins versus Ambrose feud will continue.

Even though “Mr. Money In The Bank” Seth Rollins may have “won” his match against his former Shield teammate-turned-bitter enemy Dean Ambrose, Ambrose assaulted Rollins to a point that their match didn’t happened as a result. Expect the animosity between this rivals with an expected match at SummerSlam, only this time with an added stipulation.

The Bella Twins battle Stephanie McMahon.

Another rumored feud believe it or not involves the Divas, namely Stephanie McMahon and the Bella Twins. McMahon has been a thorn on Brie and Nikki’s side for several weeks now and it looks like there is a chance that we could see Brie (the wife of Daniel Bryan) fighting for her job back when she faces the possibility of facing “The Queen” at SummerSlam.

Other possible storylines.

Now that The Usos have successfully defended their tag team titles against Erick Rowan and Luke Harper at both Money In The Bank and WWE Battleground, we could very well see the main roster debut of NXT Tag Team Champions The Ascension (Viktor and Conor) in the very near future. Also, expect Chris Jericho to feud with Bray Wyatt and A.J. Lee to continue her feud against Paige for the Divas title.
