eWN’s Round Table Preview of AEW Double or Nothing 2020

3) “The Casino Ladder Match will have intervals and the winner will get a title shot. How do you think this will work and who should win?”

MANGO: It doesn’t need to have intervals. That will just make it more convoluted. Nobody will win the match before everyone enters, so there’s no need. If it does happen, it’ll just feel underwhelming, so it’s lose-lose. As far as the winner goes, I was debating about Allin and Sky until they said they’d keep the ninth participant a mystery. Now, I have to assume that 9th competitor wins.

ABSLER: I think it will be a very interesting match considering the intervals and clash of styles involved. I would love to see Rey Fenix or Darby Allin win the match.

STAPLE: I’m not a fan of the rules, because by design, someone can win the match before other competitors get a chance to come out. So it’s basically a gauntlet match. But a gauntlet style of match with a ladder match doesn’t make sense. As for the winner, you have to believe that whoever the mystery competitor is will grab the victory. I believe that mystery guy will be a recently released superstar from WWE like EC3. Darby Allin is a popular choice as well, since I think he can have a great feud with Moxley.
