AEW Dynasty 2024

Date:
April 21, 2024
Location:
Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis, Missouri

Highlights:

  • Swerve Strickland made history by becoming the first African-American wrestler to win the AEW World Championship in the main event.
  • During the tag team championship ladder match, ‘Scapegoat’ Jack Perry returned to AEW to help The Young Bucks defeat FTR to become the first 3-time AEW World Tag Team Champions.
  • Willow Nightingale won her first AEW title, the TBS Championship, by defeating Julia Hart. Mercedes Mone appeared to confirm she will challenge Nightingale at Double Or Nothing.
  • Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson wrestled a classic with no outside interference. In the aftermath, Danielson was looked at by medical personnel for what seemed to be a separated shoulder.
  • House Of Black won their trios match when Malakai Black sprayed the mist in Adam Copeland’s face and hit him with The End.
  • While Deonna Purrazzo equalized the situation by fighting Mariah May, Toni Storm still found a way to retain against Thunder Rosa.
  • Chris Jericho reluctantly defeated Hook for the FTW Championship. Taz looked concerned afterward.
  • On the Zero Hour kickoff show, Bang Bang Gang (Bullet Club Gold) defeated The Acclaimed to unify the AEW and ROH Trios Championships.
