Highlights:
- After the main event, Shinsuke Nakamura attacked Seth Rollins, who later stated he needed to be wheeled out by his wife.
- JD McDonagh, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio provided interference to help the Judgment Day’s Damian Priest & Finn Balor to become the new tag team champions.
- John Cena served as the host of Payback, which included appointing himself as special referee for The Miz vs. LA Knight, and as a backstage interviewer.
- During the Grayson Waller Effect, his guest Cody Rhodes announced that Jey Uso had been drafted to Monday Night Raw. Jey Uso entered and hit Grayson Waller with a Super Kick.
- After losing the steel cage match, a frustrated Trish Stratus slapped Zoey Stark, who ended their relationship by taking out her mentor with the Z360.
- With the tag team title victory, Finn Balor became the 17th WWE Grand Slam Champion under the current format. He would need to win the WWE Championship to claim the Triple Crown.
