WWE WrestleMania 37
Highlights:
- The Men’s World and Women’s Tag Team Champions retained, but every other title holder defending lost their championships.
- Bad Bunny impressed everyone with his showing on the first night.
- Logan Paul didn’t do much with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, and will mostly be remembered for getting hit with a Stunner by Owens afterward.
- Dabba-Kato returned to TV by helping Apollo Crews to win the Intercontinental Championship
- In the main event of the second night, Edge introduced chairs, but it was Jey Uso who helped Roman Reigns to retain. He ended WrestleMania by pinning both of his challengers at the same time.
- The first night was delayed due to bad weather. Several wrestlers were asked to stall for time while it passed.
- It marks the first time since March 2020 that WWE had a significant audience in attendance; due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The fans were still asked to social distance and wear masks.
- Cesaro won his first ever singles match at WrestleMania by overcoming Seth Rollins
- The two final women in the 2021 Royal Rumble, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley, became champions of Raw and SmackDown.
- Bobby Lashley retained the WWE Championship with the help of a distraction by MVP. He made Drew McIntyre pass out, so won by technical knockout.
- Randy Orton and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt had a short opening match on night 2, mostly because Alexa Bliss appeared to transform in to something which surprised The Fiend. He was quickly taken out by a RKO, much to the surprise of Orton. Some fans were disappointed as they were expecting more.
- Neither the 24/7 Championship or SmackDown Tag Team titles were defended on the show. The traditional Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal was contested on SmackDown instead.
