AAA will hold three TripleMania events throughout 2022, starting with April 30 (Regia), June 18 (Tijuana), and October 15 (Triplemania XXX in Mexico City). The Wrestling Observer Newsletter says the October event has the highest ticket prices in company history at $395, with the lowest being at $22.
The show will feature an 8-Man Tournament (ruleta de la muerte), with the winners of these matches advancing to a “Mask vs. Mask” match at TripleMania XXX. The participants include Ultimo Dragon, Penta El Zero M, Blue Demon Jr., Canek, Psycho Clown, LA Park, Villano IV, and Rayo de Jalisco Jr.
The presumption is, with the high ticket prices, that a “major star” will be losing their mask at the show and it’s rumored to be Villano IV, whose career is said to be nearing the end.
