AEW Is Believed To Have Made A Stronger Initial Offer Than WWE To Kazuchika Okada

Kazuchika Okada’s contract with NJPW is set to expire this month, and there is a lot of interest in him from AEW and WWE.

WWE believes that there is a real possibility of Okada joining them, especially considering his age and his close relationship with Shinsuke Nakamura, who made the switch from NJPW to WWE in the past. Despite his accomplishments in NJPW, Okada has never worked for WWE.

Recent reports indicate that Okada is seriously considering the option of joining a different wrestling promotion. People in WWE believe that they have a better chance of signing him now compared to before.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW is believed to have made a strong initial offer to Okada. He wrote,

“Of course the big question is where is Okada going. Both WWE and AEW made pitches for him. One person close to Okada “Nothing has started yet but seems both are gonna fight for him hard.” It was believed that AEW has made the stronger first offer but no contract has been signed at press time.”
