Drew McIntyre’s WWE contract reportedly expires shortly after WrestleMania 40, and The Scottish Psychopath has yet to confirm if he has re-signed with the company.
In a recent interview with “Bootleg Kev,” former WWE Superstar Swerve Strickland named McIntyre as someone he’d like to see in AEW.
Strickland said, “I would love to see a Drew McIntyre over here. His contract status, I don’t know, I can’t speak on it, but I heard it’s not fully….”
He continued, “I think Drew McIntyre can work anywhere in the world. He’s proven that before. That’s why WWE wanted him back so badly to the transformation he made because he can work anywhere and do anything with anybody. He would be a major fit in AEW.”
McIntyre will challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in less than three weeks at WrestleMania 40.
