As seen during Tuesday night’s WWE SmackDown! Live broadcast, Matt Hardy returned and basically ended any speculation about his WWE in-ring future. Matt and Jeff Hardy came out and faced off with The Bar in a short tag-team match. The Hardys picked up the win after Jeff hit a “Swanton Bomb”.
As many of you know by now, Matt Hardy said last week that he had just 11 days left on his current WWE contract. With the win on SmackDown! Live, it appears Matt (maybe Jeff as well) have signed new deals with WWE.
PWInsider is also reporting that Matt and Jeff will be in WWE for the foreseeable future. According to sources, WWE has activated a clause in the Hardy’s current deal which rolls it over for another year. Both of their contracts were set to expire next month, as the team signed a two-year deal just before WrestleMania 33 in 2017.
