Backstage News On The Countdown Clock Getting Removed At Extreme Rules

We previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com that the fans at last Sunday night’s WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view event were doing Royal Rumble-style countdowns every time one minute passed on the clock during the Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins 30 minute Iron Man match. There came a point during the match that the clock was removed from the video wall and it resulted in both Ziggler and Rollins commenting on it during the middle of their match (see below).

In an update on this, WWE head producer Kevin Dunn made the call to remove the clock from the video wall inside the arena. While it still appeared on TV, the fans in the arena could not see it. Following the removal of the clock in the arena, the chants became even louder. That led to the moment captured on camera of Ziggler and Rollins talking to each other mid-match about it.
