Backstage News On Why ‘The WRLD On GCW’ Main Event Ran Short

The main event of Sunday night’s “The WRLD On GCW” pay-per-view event was cut short due to timing issues.

In the match, Matt Tremont and Nick Gage defeated The Briscoes to capture the GCW Tag Team Championships. The match was kept very short and ended with Gage cutting a promo to end the show.

According to a report from Pwinsider, the match was never planned to go long. With that being said, there was also a “hard stop time” to end the pay-per-view event. GCW officials wanted time to have Gage cut a promo, which resulted in several matches that took place earlier in the show having their time cut. Additionally, several video packages were pulled due to the show running late.

Michael Moran directed the pay-per-view event. Giancarlo Ditamo produced and directed the video pieces.
