Just last month during the Superstar Shake-Up, WWE decided to move Dolph Ziggler over the Raw brand and pair him up with former NXT Champion Drew McIntyre. Since then, they have been working as a tag team.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider (via Ringside News) recently stated that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon made the call to put them as a team.
“It’s a Vince call to personally bring him up. This was not Triple H presenting him to Vince. This was ‘this guys good, lets get him back on the main roster.’ This was Vince and I’m told that the McIntyre/Ziggler combination was a Vince McMahon idea.”
