Backstage News – Original Plans For AAA’s TripleMania Event, Show Unlikely To Air On United States PPV

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

AAA’s annual TripleMania event is currently only scheduled to air on iPPV in the United States. Court Bauer, who previously worked with AAA, has been one of the main reasons the AAA World Cup finals and TripleMania events aired on regular pay-per-view in the United States. When Bauer left, that deal fell through. The company was actually looking to hold TripleMania from the Forum in Los Angeles, CA, but that is not happening now because AAA did not secure a United States television deal.

Also, it was announced during the World Cup show that TripleMania would take place in August. TNA’s Josh Matthews, who did the English commentary for the show, teased that several TNA wrestlers would be featured on the show. The feeling is that there is a working agreement between TNA Wrestling and AAA once again.
