According to a report from Cagesideseats.com, the singles push for Cesaro looks to be on hold. The rumored reason for this is because WWE is using “The Bar” and tag-team wrestling to protect and prolong Sheamus’ career. As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, Sheamus is dealing with spinal stenosis issues. This is the same injury that ended the in-ring careers of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Edge.
For what it’s worth, there are many people within WWE who claim that the company is “ribbing” Cesaro by having him continue to wear an over-sized mouthpiece. While Cesaro had several teeth knocked out during a match several months ago at the WWE No Mercy pay-per-view, he is said to be healed up at this point but WWE management “gets a kick out of him slurring his words” with the mouthpiece in.
