As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, AEW star Santana suffered an ACL injury during the Blood & Guts match on the June 29th episode of Dynamite and is expected to be out of action for around eight months.
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Proud & Powerful member recently underwent reconstructive knee surgery.
It remains to be seen what happens with Santana in AEW when his contract expires later this year. Konnan recently announced on his Keepin’ It 100 podcast that Santana and Ortiz are not on good terms these days.
While not confirmed, it is believed that Santana’s AEW contract expires on September 1.
