Booker T was blown away when he saw John Cena perform freestyle raps, deeming the 16-time WWE World Champion the “blackest dude in the room.”
During a recent edition of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker recalled Cena’s freestyle performances after John made an appearance on BET’s music video show, ‘106 & Park.’ He said,
“I saw him on BET, I was on BET with him… And this son of a gun did a freestyle. Literally, in front of everybody. And I was like…he was the blackest dude in the room. I’m serious. By the end of the day, I was like, ‘Wow.’ So impressive.”
Booker T added that Cena hadn’t lost his touch during his 2012 feud with Dwayne Johnson, stating that Cena “roasted The Rock” with a freestyle rap.
