Bully Ray Announces His Retirement From In-Ring Competition

It appears as though former WWE Tag Team Champion Bubba Ray Dudley’s (a.k.a. Bully Ray) in-ring career has come to an end. During last night’s (Sun. October 15, 2017) Ring Of Honor (ROH) “Global Wars: Chicago” iPPV Ray came out to hit Frankie Kazarian with a Chokeslam through a table in order to save Kushida and Cheeseburger.

Ray then got on the mic to address the Chicago crowd and stated that he is at a point in his career where he needs to focus on his health. He then went on to announce that his in-ring career has come to an end. The Chicago crowd gave Ray a long standing ovation while Ray brought in a young child to the ring by the name of Chase. Ray said Chase represents every fan that he ever got the opportunity to perform in front of, before giving Chase “a piece of the last table I’ll ever put somebody through.”

He left after thanking the crowd. This announcement comes just weeks after Ray suffered a head injury on an iPPV from being hit in the head with a table too hard. He is expected to address his future further on Busted Open Radio later this week.
