Carmelo Hayes lost the WWE NXT Championship to Ilja Dragunov at this year’s WWE NXT No Mercy 2023 pay-per-view event on Saturday night at the Mechanic Banks Arena in Bakersfield, CA.
Hayes had held the title for a total of 182 days.
Following the match, he took to Twitter to reflect on his time as the NXT Champion. He wrote,
“Did what I said I was gonna do with the NXT Championship. Went out like a G. Thank you #NXTNoMercy.”
