Update as to Why Charlotte Flair Won the SmackDown Women’s Championship so Close to WrestleMania 35

h/t: WrestleZone

Through his Wrestling Observer

forum, Dave Meltzer is providing some insight as to why Charlotte Flair won the smackdown Women’s Championship last night.

Initially, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Naomi, and Carmella were scheduled to face off in a Fatal 4-Way Match with the winner facing Asuka for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.

According to Meltzer, this was a decision that was made in the afternoon prior to last night’s show when  Vince McMahon decided that it was better to add some more flair to the historic main event of WrestleMania, then to add another match with less build up to the already stacked card.
