Chris Jericho Believes It Is “Crazy” That Wrestlers Don’t Have A Union

Chris Jericho has become the latest wrestler to speak out about the lack of unions in professional wrestling.

Unlike various professions, including those in entertainment, wrestlers do not have a union that would guarantee certain rights for workers.

While speaking with Howie Mandell, Chris Jericho talked about the lack of unions in wrestling and said there would be positives and negatives to introducing them.

“There are no unions for wrestling, which is kind of crazy because we’re on TV… A union would be good in some ways, I’m sure. And probably hinder you in other ways, which is why probably they don’t want to get into it.”

Jericho is hardly alone in his discussions about unions, as Brooke Hogan questioned why

there isn’t a union earlier this year.

Zelina Vega was released by WWE minutes after expressing support for unions in late 2020 but has since returned to the company.
