Chris Jericho Discusses When He’ll Begin Thinking About Retirement

Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho was recently a guest on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast. During his appearance on the show, the 52-year-old discussed when he might start considering retiring from in-ring competition.

Speaking on the show, the 32-year-plus veteran said the following:

“People say, ‘Well, how much longer are you going to do this?’ I could end tomorrow, [or] I could end five years from now, or who cares? Sting is 63 and still doing great stuff. So who knows, man? To me, as long as you can still compete at a high level — like I have a high standard for myself. If I went out there and two, three, four times in a row I felt like, ‘Oof, I’m starting to f**king phone this in,’ I would quit.”

As of the time of this writing, Chris Jericho is approaching his 100th match in AEW, sitting on 81 matches in the company.
