On today’s mailbag segment of Wrestling Observer Radio, someone asked Dave Meltzer about CM Punk’s UFC status. Meltzer said that UFC is not offering him any fights and that’s one of the reasons he joined the reality project “The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros.”
Meltzer said that it would be best for CM Punk’s MMA career to ask for a release from UFC. That way he could join Bellator, as the feeling is that the company would give CM Punk a more suitable opponent.
