CM Punk Not At AEW Dynamite, Dealing With Serious Injury

CM Punk beat Jon Moxley in the main event of AEW All Out to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

As previously reported, CM Punk ripped Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and AEW EVPs (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) at the post-AEW All Out media scrum.

Punk had a backstage confrontation with Nick and Matt Jackson after the scrum that also included Omega and Ace Steel.

Dave Meltzer reported today that Punk suffered a serious injury in the match that will be addressed on Dynamite:

Meltzer wrote, “Punk injury, believed to be from the tope, is serious. Rumors from Sunday but he hadn’t confirmed them but it’s been confirmed to me no matter what happens discipline-wise that the title situation has to be changed and addressed tonight.”

Meltzer followed up with, “Just to make it clear, Punk is home in Chicago, not in Buffalo.”
