Matt Cardona is the new GCW World Champion following last night’s GCW Homecoming (Night One) event. Cardona defeated Nick Gage in a brutal deathmatch.
Following the show, both Cardona and Cody Rhodes took to Twitter to react. Cardona said,
“I haven’t slept…I’m at the airport…my back is still bleeding…I’m the NEW @GCWrestling_ WORLD CHAMP…and I’m flying to @Disneyland! #AlwayzReady #StillHere #DeathMatchKing”
Cody Rhodes also posted a photo of Cardona with the GCW title, saying,
“Wild stuff. Matt Cardona, man!”
