As many of you know by now, WWE debuted a new Intercontinental Championship belt design during Friday night’s SmackDown broadcast. While many fans are saying that WWE likely did the title change due to Cody Rhodes, he doesn’t seem to agree. Cody thinks WWE simply decided it was time for a change. He said,
“Unlikely. Probably just time for a change. All good things and such…I’m sure this one will have great moments/wrestlers attached to it just like the older one.”
