Cody had filed for a trademark to his name “Cody Rhodes” in the month of April, a day following WWE’s expiration of the trademark. This has been an ongoing battle between Cody and WWE since he left the company. PWInsider reports that his filing for the name has been refused. The original filing date was for April 13th after WWE’s registration had expired. WWE later renewed it for May 15th due to a delay from the COVID-19 pandemic.
