David Benoit, son of the late Chris Benoit, was recently interviewed by Chris Van Vliet to talk about several professional wrestling topics.
Here are the highlights:
His love for wrestling:
I love wrestling with all of my heart. I watch it every day. When I’d go down to Atlanta (to visit my dad), we’d watch wrestling, then we’d wrestle in the pool a little bit. I got the diving headbutt done to me.
Where he’d like to sign after completing his professional wrestling training:
AEW or New Japan Pro Wrestling would be the goal. I tried getting in there (to NJPW). It was so hard to get in there.
Why he was banned from going backstage in WWE:
It was because I went to an AEW show. It blows my mind, bro. I had to make a few phone calls. I was trying to talk to someone, but they never got back to me for a good four to five months. Everything’s fine now, I talked to their lawyers. I’m welcomed everywhere now, we’re good.
