Drew McIntyre Wants Match With ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin

WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin could be lacing his boots one more time if he accepts a match with Drew McIntyre.

Austin retired from in-ring competition in 2003, but returned for a match at this year’s WrestleMania in his native Texas, defeating Kevin Owens.

McIntyre, who defeated Happy Corbin at WrestleMania 38, laid out the challenge in an interview with Sportskeeda and discussed the significance of the match. He said,

“If he wants to get in the ring one more time with Drew McIntyre, I can assure you that’ll be a dream come true.

“I’m sure you’ve seen the sit-down interview I did last week on SmackDown, they showed those pictures when I was a kid and I’m lying on my Stone Cold bedsheets with my Stone Cold merchandise. You can get an idea of how big that would be for me.”

McIntyre will face Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for the title at this weekend’s Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event.

WWE Clash at the Castle will take place on September 3rd at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
