Evil Uno made his debut for AEW as a member of The Dark Order at Double or Nothing on May 25, 2019.
A year later, Brodie Lee made his surprise AEW debut and was revealed as the “Exalted One”, the leader of the Dark Order.
On December 26, 2020, at the age of 41, Lee passed away from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
While speaking to Fightful, Evil Uno recalled how The Dark Order has adjusted to the new landscape following the sudden loss of their leader. Uno also noted that Lee’s untimely passing has caused the faction to forge a stronger bond.
“It was very dramatic for all of us. It was our absolute lowest, on a personal level, but what blossomed from there was we actually became a family. We were a unit at first – we were a group of wrestlers who had a common goal – but now I actually trust every single member…I genuinely care for every member of the Dark Order.”
