AEW’s FTR have retained the AAA World Tag Team Championships at a Lucha Libre AAA show on Sunday night.
Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood defeated Dragon Lee and Dralistico at an event in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico.
The champions were originally supposed to defend against the Lucha Bros, though the match was changed due to Rey Fenix’s arm injury.
Fenix suffered an arm injury in early January during AEW’s debut episode of Dynamite on TBS.
FTR have been champions now for 149 days, having won the titles from the Lucha Bros. on the October 16, 2021 episode of Dynamite.
