As many of you know by now, WWE will be holding their RAW, SmackDown, and pay-per-view events at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida for the next several months. The shows will be airing live and will feature a “ThunderDome” theme. That will include a new set, video boards, lasers, virtual interactions with fans, and more.
Jon Alba is reporting that WWE will be paying $450,000 to use the Amway Center over the course of the next two months. When Alba asked Orlando, FL mayor Buddy Dyer if WWE would be able to renew the lease it currently has, he simply said the lease was for 60 days. It remains to be seen what happens following those 60 days.
The “ThunderDome” concept will debut this Friday night on SmackDown and will be used going forward.
