Dave Meltzer noted on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio that all signs point to Jeff Cobb having signed with NJPW. Meltzer stated that Cobb has been telling people all year long that he has signed with a promotion, but never revealed the name of the promotion.
With Cobb being confirmed as part of this year’s G1 Climax 30 tournament, Cobb has likely signed a contract with NJPW.
Meltzer added that Cobb turned down a deal with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) for his recently signed contract. Cobb’s goal was to always sign with New Japan.
