Jerry “The King” Lawler Wants To Compete In WWE Again

One of WWE’s most famous and entertaining announcers of all-time, Jerry “The King” Lawler has expressed that he wants one more opportunity in a WWE ring. On the latest edition of Jerry Lawler’s podcast “Dinner With The King“, he expressed how WWE will never clear him to wrestle again. Lawler also mentioned how he competed at Modern Vintage Wrestling’s event against King Shane Williams.

The fans that attended this event applauded “The King” with “You Still Got It Chants” throughout his match. Although Lawler has competed in numerous matches over the past couple of months on the Indy scene, the reason WWE will not clear him is much greater.

On a live edition of Monday Night RAW on September 10th, of 2012 Lawler had a heart attack after competing in a tag-team match vs CM Punk & Dolph Ziggler.

Throughout the years since Jerry Lawler’s heart attack, superstars such as: CM Punk & most recently Dolph Ziggler have poked fun of the near-death of Jerry Lawler. WWE’s hesitation to allow Lawler to compete in a their ring is nothing short of them trying to avoid this horrific incident again.
