Jimmy Korderas Praises Women’s Street Fight From AEW Rampage

Speaking on his latest Reffin’ Rant series, former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas heaped praise on the women’s street fight from last week’s episode of AEW Rampage. Ruby Soho & Willow Nightingale came out victorious against Anna JayAS & Tay Melo in a vicious battle in the show’s main event.

Korderas thought the work was great, but wondered if they could have saved it for something bigger, like a Dynamite or a pay-per-view event. He said,

“Normally on Tuesday, I’d be talking about something from Raw, and we’ll get to that tomorrow, but something happened on Friday’s Rampage that got the world talking in a big conversation. The women’s tag street fight was incredible. The women worked their butts off. They really left it all out there, especially Ruby Soho, who was bleeding a lot. I know a lot of people had an issue with a woman bleeding. I don’t have an issue with her bleeding. There was a lot of blood, maybe could have been sold a little differently, you can nitpick about little things like that. But for me, the issue was the timing of it. Putting it on Rampage on a Friday night with that small of an audience? That match deserved to be if not on pay-per-view on a Wednesday night and made a big deal about where more people could see it. Fewer people saw it is my issue.”
