The Los Angeles Times is reporting that former professional wrestling star Joey Ryan, real name Joseph Meehan, was recently let go from his job working for Disneyland on the Jungle Cruise attraction.
Meehan was accused of sexual misconduct by several women back in 2020, leading to him being blackballed from the professional wrestling industry, including being let go from Impact Wrestling. Meehan was working for Disneyland on a probationary basis, when the park decided not to bring him on as a full-time employee.
One spokesperson from the park said “Mr. Meehan is no longer employed by us.” It’s not officially known why Meehan was not given a full-time position and if the allegations played a role. Ryan has denied the allegations in the past, even filing at least seven libel and slander lawsuits against his accusers.
However, almost all of them have been dismissed or dropped.
