Justin Roberts Discusses Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker From WM XXX

Justin Roberts has had the opportunity to announce some classic wrestling moments across his lengthy career. He introduced The Rock as the host for WrestleMania 27. He announced Chris Jericho as AEW’s first World Champion. But there’s another moment that stands out to the Dapper Yapper, and he stopped by Talk is Jericho to talk about what that moment was.

Roberts discussed his announcement of Brock Lesnar as the winner of his WrestleMania XXX match versus The Undertaker as the biggest of his career. Roberts stated, “I’d say my biggest announcement in WWE was Brock [Lesnar] beating Taker for The Streak. That was the biggest announcement I ever made that got the smallest reaction.” Initially, Roberts thought that when he was given the official call, some sort of error had been made.

He continued, “My stomach dropped. I was just in doubt, and so it was very uncomfortable. And then I get a cue a minute later, and I go, ‘The winner of this match, Brock Lesnar.’ And it was an uncomfortable announcement.”

As fans will remember, the audience was stunned by the match’s conclusion, an atmosphere not lost on Roberts himself: “Everybody, including myself — it was just disbelief.”
