Kevin Owens has re-signed with WWE, according to Fightful Select.
WWE was very interested in retaining Owens and the company made him “an excellent offer” to stay. The company was said to be over the moon about retaining Owens.
AEW talent that spoke with Fightful didn’t think AEW would realistically match what WWE would offer him to stay with the company. Those wrestlers also stated that they believe AEW would’ve been interested in signing him.
Owens’ deal was set to expire at the end of January 2022. The new deal is a multi-year agreement.
