Last month it was reported by Pwinsider.com that WWE creative were talking about WWE Hall of Famer Sting being a major part of Super ShowDown where he could make a return to in-ring action.
It noted that while a deal wasn’t done at the time, the conversations had proceeded so far that some believed Sting could appear at the Royal Rumble. That didn’t happen.
In an update, Pwinsider.com reported “as of last night, they were told those talks have died down.” Thus, it appears that a deal wasn’t reached.
