Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks in WWE) is currently sidelined with a broken ankle that she had surgery to fix earlier this year. She is expected to return shortly.
Before her injury, she was supposed to make her promotional debut with All Elite Wrestling while also working for New Japan Pro Wrestling.
In the past few weeks, Mone has been posting cryptic photos on her Instagram Stories, further fueling speculation about a potential comeback to WWE.
On December 27th, WWE held a live event in Mercedes’ hometown of Boston, MA, and she posted a photo of herself outside the venue. Although she didn’t appear on the show, fans continue to speculate that she might make her return at the 2024 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.
