The rumor and innuendo suggests there are internal talks regarding Michael Cole taking a step back in his commentary duties. Michael Cole was recently promoted to ‘Vice President of Announcing” for the company.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, their is speculation that WWE is preparing for Ronda Rousey’s return. The idea is to place Rousey as a heel, culminating with a “reunion” with Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, and Marina Shafir in a “Four Horsewomen” storyline that could set up for some very interesting feuds.
Ronda Rousey is not expected to be back with WWE anytime soon. This storyline would be setup down the road when the timing is right.
