MJF Retains AEW World Title Against Bryan Danielson In Iron Man Match At AEW Revolution 2023

MJF outlasted Bryan Danielson to successfully retain the AEW World Championship in the 60-Minute Iron Man match main event at AEW Revolution 2023.

A bloody MJF defeated Danielson in a sudden death period, which was ordered by AEW President Tony Khan following the one-hour time limit as the match flowed into extra time with MJF about to tap.

MJF resorted to his heel antics by attempting to cheat several times in the overtime period, even using his World Title as a cover to distract the referee so he could knock Danielson out with his Dynamite Diamond Ring. However, the expensive ring was pulled from MJF’s finger during a LaBell Lock by Danielson.

The reigning AEW World Champion then resorted to a rope-break and escaped to the ringside, where he hit Danielson with an oxygen mask outside of the referee’s purview.

MJF then applied the LaBell Lock, forcing Danielson to tap out in what was the latter’s fourth attempt at the AEW World Title.

MJF’s AEW World Title reign currently stands at 107 days, having won the gold from CM Punk at AEW All Out 2022.
