More On The Stabbing Death Of Ashley Massaro’s Brother

We reported earlier this morning here on eWn that Ronnie Massaro, the younger brother of late former WWE women’s wrestler Ashley Massaro, was stabbed to death in Midtown, New York on November 21st. Massaro was just 39 years old.

According to the New York Daily News, Ronnie was stabbed at 9:15PM EST on November 21 outside of 2 Bros. Pizza. The suspect then fled uptown following the attack and has not been apprehended as of this writing.

Ronnie Massaro’s childhood friend, Keith Hanlon, said he had been struggling to rebuild his life following a battle with alcoholism and his sister’s suicide last year. Just hours before he was stabbed to death, Ronnie had checked out of a rehab facility in Long Island.

Hanlon said,

“He was ready to live life. Since his sister’s passing, I’d never noticed him have this voice. Something hit him. I really believe he started to accept things and understand what life was about. ‘It finally hit me, and I’m ready. I can do this. We can do this together.’ Those were his exact words.”

Hanlon says he was in contact with Ronnie just before he was killed. He said Massaro had called him about 45 minutes before the stabbing took place.

As many of you know by now, Ashley Massaro committed suicide in May 2019.

We send our best wishes and condolences to the family and friends of Ronnie and Ashley Massaro.
