During Saturday night’s NWA ‘Alwayz Ready’ pay-per-view event, it was announced that Matt Cardona was unable to defend his NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Nick Aldis. Instead, he relinquished his title due to an injury.
Due to this, the main event was changed to a Fatal Four-Way Match for the vacant title. The bout featured Nick Aldis, Trevor Murdoch, Sam Shaw, and Thom Latimer.
Murdoch wound up picking up the win, delivering a bulldog off the top rope to Aldis.
