WWE will not be airing a live episode of RAW next week as the upcoming show will look at the best of WWE in 2022.
According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE will be on their holiday tour, and the production crew will get additional time off if a live episode doesn’t take place next week.
A particular talent within the company noted that although WWE hadn’t initially revealed the reason, it wasn’t difficult to figure out the reason behind the move, i.e. to give the production team additional time off.
Another source confirmed the speculation and stated that because WWE live events require fewer crew members, sometimes entire departments don’t have to work the house shows.
Since WWE has already taped this week’s episode of SmackDown and next week’s episode of WWE NXT, the production teams have an extended period off (December 20-28).
A top Superstar praised the decision and although they wished for additional time off for the festive season, they admitted to being well-paid for the holiday tour.
