Nick Aldis Says He Has More Freedom To Explore Things Following NWA Departure

Nick Aldis left the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) after his contract expired on January 2, 2023.

In an interview with AdFreeShows, Aldis stated that he wanted to have the freedom to pursue more opportunities and not be expected to do them with the NWA, as well as having the ability to “stick a few irons in the fire”. He said,

“It was as much about I want to have the freedom to just try s**t and not sort of be expected to do it with the NWA. I just shot a pilot for an idea I had for a show a few weeks ago in St. Louis, and the guys who I did that with were guys who I met when we did the stuff in St. Louis. I’ve made a lot of contacts, although I met them through wrestling, they’re not necessarily just wrestling-related contacts and resources.”

Since leaving the NWA, Aldis has received offers from various companies such as Impact Wrestling, Global Force Wrestling

, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling NOAH. However, Aldis is currently waiting for the right opportunity before making any final decision.
