Nick Jackson Believes Professional Wrestlers Deserve Health Insurance

Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks has come out to speak on a very important and oftentimes overlooked topic in professional wrestling. With the recent announcement of former WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns’ leukemia diagnosis, the professional wrestling world has begun discussing some very important subjects.

One of those being professional wrestlers needing health insurance from their employers. Most professional wrestlers don’t get such benefits from their companies due to the fact that they’re considered independent contractors. This is a very similar situation to what is going on with MMA fighters in promotions such as the UFC.

However, one fan recently took to Twitter and sent out a message to Nick Jackson on the matter. He said he believes that wrestlers should be provided health insurance by their employers. Jackson said he agreed with the sentiment:

Unless professional wrestlers band together and unionize for rights, such as the way NFL players did before being granted insurance, pensions, education, etc., it doesn’t seem like much will change anytime soon.
