NJPW and WOW to Move to Saturday Nights This Summer

As first reported by The Wrap, AXS TV is looking to make Saturday night the premiere night for professional wrestling night this Summer.

Beginning July 13th, Saturday nights will feature an 8-week recap of Women of Wrestling season one matches and leading up to the 24-episode second season beginning September 7th at 8 p.m. Eastern. Season two of WOW will feature a tournament to crown Tag Team Champions

In addition to that, this will lead into New Japan Pro Wrestling which will Air at 9 p.m. Eastern on AXS TV. To kick off their summer, on July 6 at 6 p.m. Eastern there will be a special live broadcast of night one of the G1 Climax Tournament from Dallas, Texas. After this first night, 2 hours of the tournament will Air every Saturday night, the action will be called by Kevin Kelly and this will lead up to the tournament final which will air on the network on August 24th, this will air live on New Japan World on August 11th.
