NWA Possibly Introducing New Women’s Championship (Spoiler)

It is being reported that the NWA is set to announce a new women’s championship on NWA Powerrr. Pwinsider states that Madusa will announce that the NWA is instituting a Women’s Television Championship on an upcoming episode. There’s no word on when the title will be officially introduced, though the report notes there was discussion around the idea of it being a method of pushing Allysin Kay without her beating the current World Women’s champion Kamille.

The title is currently being designed by Billy Corgan and longtime title belt designer Dave Millican, who has designed championship belts for WWE, WCW, the NWA, TNA and more.

The men’s World Television Championship has a “lucky seven” rule that allows someone who makes seven successful title defenses to cash in for an NWA Championship match. It is not yet confirmed whether the women’s Television Championship will have the same rule.

Allysin Kay is a former NWA World Women’s & Tag Team Champion
